Men's Fashion Special

June TV

Dark Matter

The six-person crew of a derelict spaceship awakens from stasis in the farthest reaches of space. Their memories wiped clean, they have no recollection of who they are or how they got on board.

The new series premiers in the US on the Syfy channel on June 12th. It is expressed to Australia and will play on June 13th at 7:30pm. The difference in dates is because Australia is about 16 hours ahead of Californian time.

Humans

Starring Gemma Chan, Jack Derges and William Hurt. Interestingly the makeup supervisor is Sarah Nuth. Sarah is known for her work on War Horse by Steven Spielberg. Makeup is a big deal in TV and Film because if they are cheap there you have to wonder what their quality of work is.

Costume design is by Ian Fulcher. The outfits look good and visually the series carries itself well in the trailers.

Set in suburban London, synthetic humans or a ‘Synth’ is the latest must have gadget. It premiers in the UK on Channel 4 on the 14th June. The AMC premier Humans in the US on the 28th June.

Killjoys

In the first episode of the series, we see that warrants have been served. A group of 3 fun-loving but hard working interplanetary bounty hunters are in a race against time. Bangarang is the first episode out of the bag for this show premiering on Syfy channel on June 19th, in the US.

Aaron Ashmore is one of the key roles alongside Luke Macfarlane and Hannah John-Kamen.

The Messengers

An object crashes to earth, and a group of unconnected strangers die from a strange energy pulse being released by the object. They re-awaken to find themselves responsible for preventing the oncoming apocalypse. The Messengers is Eoghan O’Donnell first major series as writer and producer.

Sense8

A Netflix Original series, Sense8 is available now on Netflix. From the creators of The Matrix Trilogy fame it follows some similar themes and visual effects. It plays on the psychological and is visually excellent. It is a science fiction story which also seems to be a similar thread this month.

Streaming now it is worth watching if Sci-Fi and The Matrix are something you enjoy.
