The newlyweds are now titled HRH The Duke and Duchess of Sussex as announced on the Royal Family’s official website.

The Duchess of Sussex’s veil and couture gown were both made by French fashion house Givenchy and its first female artists’ director, UK designer Clare Waight Keller.

The outfit is a delight, using a mix of modern and elegant dress design to a beautifully detailed 5-metre veil with an elegant tiara borrowed from Queen Elizabeth. A wedding outfit whether for the bride or groom is always about detail and the overall look.

The personal touches and brides taste is what makes her wedding special. Givenchy stylist did describe the inspiration for the veil;

Waight Keller designed a romantic cathedral-length style “representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition” – in addition to one particular flower embroidered into the veil, a California poppy to represent Meghan’s home state.

Guest Fashion

There were 4 distinct fashion themes for the wedding. While the event was a formal wedding day, the ladies managed to dress according to their personal taste.

Modern

The fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, wore a navy blue slash-front midi dress featuring a belted neck and split sleeves from her upcoming pre-spring/summer 2019 collection, which she teamed with a Stephen Jones tulle pillbox hat.

Her heels were burnt orange.

The overall look; modern minimalist with emphasis on heels.

Colour combination; navy blue and orange.

Ladylike

Princess Diana’s niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, wore a square neck, midi dress by Dolce & Gabbana. This look, worn by the 27-year-old, is ladylike and fresh, the floral design is remarkable but well-balanced with the detail on the lower part of the dress. Her heels and scarf were matching in orange with her hat in the same green as the dress. The dress is not available online.

The overall look; ladylike and floral.

The colours; green and orange.

Classic

Amal Clooney dressed in a Stella McCartney dress in marigold with a matching hat. Her high heels are a delicate yellow gold. The hat was visually interesting also, with her hat having some bling on it which also matched a bit of bling in her clutch.

The overall look; classic/contemporary and one colour outfit.

The colour; yellow.
